to Work
As a proud product and advocate of K-12 public schools, believe every child has the right to a free, world-class education, and I will continue my work on the school board to ensure that the diverse needs of all students are met. I was an elementary school teacher and principal for 34 years and I know how to support students, families, and hardworking teachers and employees who are the heart of OUSD. As the only board member with elementary classroom experience, I have a unique perspective and understand the complexities of implementing innovative programs that will start young learners on the right path.
Parent and community involvement is essential to the success of every child, and I have spent years finding common ground, building trust, and forming strong partnerships. Together we will move this district forward creating a culture of caring, collaboration, innovation and success.
Students deserve for every dollar possible to be spent in the classroom and our community deserves leadership that will operate with transparency and fiscal responsibility, with no personal agendas or pet-projects. Great public schools are the best investment in the future any community can make. Together we can ensure a great future for our community.
